Our Services

We try to make worship at St. Mary's accessible to as many different people as possible and our mix of services reflects this. Most services are taken from 'Common Worship: Services and Prayers for the Church of England' - now the standard Anglican liturgy. Communion is usually included.

For those who feel more comfortable with the traditional, there are Holy Communion services from the Book of Common Prayer on two Sundays each month and at major festivals. We often hold Evensong when there is a fifth Sunday in the month.

Children are always welcome. The first Sunday of each month is a Family Service in church. On the second, third and fourth Sundays we run a junior church (called Searchers) in St Mary's Hall

• All services listed above are held in St. Mary's Church, except where another venue is specified.

• 'BCP' means that the service will be from the 'Book of Common Prayer'. Service booklets and prayer books are available in church.

• Please note that the short Holy Communion Service held on Monday evenings at 7.00 pm will be cancelled with effect from 1st August 2010.

• Please join us for refreshments and fellowship in the Hall following 11.00 am Sunday Services

• Searchers (our Junior Church) meets in the Church Hall at 11.00 am on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Sundays each month.  See Children & Youth for more details on 'Searchers'.
