Growing in faith through life and love, fun and friendship
Searchers is the name for our Junior Church at St Mary's.
It meets on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th Sunday of the month in the church hall from 10:50am. The children stay with us in Junior Church until re-joining the main service for Communion.

Searchers sessions are led as follows:
A number of helpers also assist at Searchers. All leaders and helpers are CRB checked.
Children who come regularly are allocated to an age-appropriate team with an animal name.
As a group, we have taken on sponsorship of Kato Junior, a 4 year old boy in Hoima, Uganda, as part of our Church partnership with that region.
We hope this will help the children understand more about their privileges and the concept of Christian giving.
Searchers activities include a combination of:
On occasions we provide the children with a take home sheet summarising a few key points from the learning that week for you to chat through what they have learnt and help reinforce it.
Don't worry if this gets lost on the way home. We publish a copy of each sheet on the Children & Youth home page.
Children from Searchers receiving their rewards for attendance
We'd love to have your children join us as often as you can make it so that they can gain from the continuity of the themes we cover. Once the children have attended 3 sessions, they will have their own chart and there are prizes available once they have attended 5, 15, 25, and 50 sessions.
