St Mary's choir was started in 1997 by a small group of Church members and since it's formation it has grown both in size and ability.

Who leads the choir?

We are ably led by Choirmistress Sally Moon and Organist Clive Baker.

What experience do current members have?

Our choristers are drawn from all sections of the community and range from beginners to proficient readers of music.

What experience do I need to join?

The Choir enjoying a well-earned tea-break!

We aim to be inclusive. Everyone who is over 16 and loves singing is most welcome. Previous experience is not required, however an ability to hold a tune and a keen desire to learn is essential.

When does the choir practice?

We rehearse on Monday evenings from 7.45 to 9.30pm in St Mary's Church. A short tea break during the evening provides a welcome interval to socialise and rest our voices!

What services does the choir sing at?

We sing at the 11.00am. service in Church on the second and fourth Sundays of each month, plus major Church festivals. Additionally we sing at several Weddings during the course of the year, plus occasional concerts during Christmas and Summer. We break for holidays during August.

Is it fun?

A joyful summer wedding

A joyful summer wedding

Whether you are new to the area or to St Mary's, joining us is an excellent way to make new friends and to become involved in Church and Village life. We hold several social events throughout the year, such as our Summer party and New Year meal. Many new friendships have been formed within the choir.

If you love singing, come and join us!
