At St Mary's, we run a number of events throughout the year, some to raise funds and others just to connect with the community. The proceeds go to church funds, church charitable giving, and to support other Eversley bodies such as Charles Kingsley's Primary School.
If you would like to help run any of these events (and there is always help needed!), please contact the person listed.
During the summer (usually in August), we hold a number of BBQs at different locations around the
village. It's an opportunity for churchgoers and non-churchgoers alike to mix and get to know each
other in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. And best of all, it is all absolutely free!

The annual Candlelit Carol Concert takes place at St Mary's Church Eversley, usually on the 2nd Sunday
in December. The concert is a mix of traditional carols and Christmas readings. Seasonal refreshments are
served during the interval. The proceeds go to the Church Buildings funds.

Food being served at the Lamb Roast
This is an annual event generally on third Sunday in August held in the lovely grounds of The Old Chapel,
New Mill Lane by kind permission of Ron & Penny Gulliver. A complimentary glass of Pimms greet you on
arrival and the meal consists of a variety of salads, pasta, bread and the delicious spit-roasted lamb
cooked by Mick Slater and his team of helpers. The dessert consists of ice cream and seasonal fruits,
followed by tea or coffee. All this is accompanied by a Jazz band and a good time is had by all. This
event is the main fund raiser of the year for the Church Buildings Fund.

We celebrate St. Mary’s Day on second Sunday in September each year. We tie in with Heritage Open Day and
there is a tour of the church and cream teas. Some years we add an additional event such as a Flower
Festival.
