[Rev. Lerys Campbell]

Who is the Vicar of St Mary's?

Rev. Lerys Campbell joined the Benefice of Darby Green and Eversley as Priest in Charge after serving his curacy in the Parish of Ringwood on the western edge of the New Forest.

Lerys trained for ordination at Trinity College, Bristol where he studied for an MA in Theology. Whilst there, he was based in some of the more deprived areas on the western outskirts of Bristol and worked alongside the churches there reaching out to those communities.

Upon being ordained deacon in 2014, Lerys served his curacy the Parish of Ringwood, consisting of three churches, with a wide variety of worship styles and a mix of urban and rural churches. For the last year, Lerys has been helping lead the Parish through its vacancy and pastoral reorganisation.

Yes, children of all ages are very welcome. Our 10:00am service held on the 1st Sunday of the month is a family orientated service and there are often baptisms taking place. We run Searchers (our Junior Church) at our 10:00am service on the 2nd and 4th Sundays where the children gather in the hall for Bible stories, music, craft and much more. We also run a Little Lights service once a month for 0-5 year olds and their parents/carers. Finally, we hold a Messy Church service once a month for the whole family to enjoy - it's church but a whole lot messier!
